DAZN temporarily blocks user accounts


In the past few months, the “Netflix des Sports” has made few new friends. First, DAZN drastically increased the prices for new customers, now the sports streaming provider is annoying some users with email notices and restrictions.

DAZN: Violation of the terms of use

Specifically, DAZN accuses some subscribers of possible violations of the terms and conditions. First and foremost, it is probably about the (knowingly or unknowingly) passing on of passwords to third parties, which the company prohibits. In a via Twitter shared email says: “We recently reminded you of our Terms of Service and how to use your DAZN account. We have identified usage behavior that may not be consistent with our Terms of Service. To protect your account, we’ve temporarily logged you out of all devices and are asking you to reset your password. You can set a new password either here or under your “Personal Information” in the “My Account” section of the DAZN.com website.It is not known how many customers this email went to.

Another restriction for the device list?

But signing out of all devices and resetting the password isn’t the only thing that hits victims. According to its own statement, DAZN has so far allowed registration on up to six devices and streaming on two devices at the same time. Now users are reporting a new upper limit of four devices that can be linked to the DAZN account. As soon as a fifth is registered, one of the other four will automatically be kicked out, one says tweet. And what does DAZN say about it?
The help page of the DAZN Customer Service finally causes confusion on this topic and explains Twitter, there are five devices on which users can be logged in at the same time. Whether there are four, five or six devices remains unclear for the time being. DAZN has not yet responded to a request from COMPUTER BILD on the subject (as of March 23, 2022).
