Behavior Interactive organized a long presentation this week celebrating the eighth anniversary of Dead by Daylightits multiplayer horror game gameplay asymmetric. The Canadian studio notably presented the next Chapter from DbD, which will be in collaboration with a cult tabletop role-playing game.
Behavior Interactive present in fact THE Dungeons & Dragons Chapter, which will celebrate 50 years of role-playing. As always, players will find a Killera Survivora map and new mechanics gameplay. This D&D chapter will take us to the Forgotten Ruinswhile there Lich Vecna will track them down Survivorsincluding the bards Baermar Uraz And Aestri Yazar. Here’s what awaits players Dead by Daylight :
An eternal tyrant
The Unspeakable. The Lord of the Putrid Tower. The Master of Secrets. Few dare to pronounce his real name. Vecna’s thirst for dark knowledge led him to many strange realms, but a clue found by a servant ignited a new obsession. This clue suggested an unknown land. A realm of fog, home to incredibly dark energy.
Determined to gain this power, Vecna spent countless nights obsessed with how he could use it. When he finally found a way to get there, that is to say when the Fog came, his exaltation was at its height. He had conquered and ruled countless kingdoms before, why would this one be any different?
Vecna knows no fear, for he holds the forbidden Chapters. With this book and within the realm of the Entity, he can cast 4 spells.
- Flight grants him the speed of flight for a brief moment, allowing him to overcome obstacles in his path.
- Flight of the Damned causes spectral entities to appear passing through obstacles and damaging anyone they hit.
- Mage’s Hand creates a grisly ghostly hand that performs tasks like holding and blocking paddles.
- Sphere of dissipation creates a moving spherical area of effect that reveals survivors and deactivates their magic items.
Bardic inspirations
What would the world be without darkness to contrast the light? What could we sing about except the delicate balance between good and evil? Players will be able to choose between Aestri Yazar, an Elf, and Baermar Uraz, a Human, to form the Troop and lead them towards their final adventure.
As the forces of evil began to mysteriously disappear from the land, the Bards knew they had to discover the cause. Their perilous journey took them to the Putrid Tower. Gathering the courage necessary for a possible confrontation with the archlich Vecna, they unexpectedly found themselves facing a Black Fog.
Whether you choose to play as Aestri or Baermar, they jump into the fray with 3 unique skills.
- Mirror Illusion generates a static duplicate of the survivor in front of a totem, chest, generator or exit door for a limited time.
- Bardic inspiration inspires others with a stimulating act. Roll a d20 and other survivors will get a bonus to skill checks based on the result of the roll.
- When you don’t move, Still vision makes you briefly see the auras of all nearby generators, totems, and chests.
Enter the Dungeon
THE Forgotten Ruinsa news Map thrilling, constitute the framework of this adventure. This is where Vecna established her domain during her research into the mysteries of the realm. Be brave, travelers, beneath the ruins of a devastated tower lies a subterranean lair of terrible experiments and dreadful secrets.
A roll of the dice
New tools are available to combat this evil. When you face Vecna, there are 7 chests scattered across the map. Grab their loot and gain fabulous powers.
To open a chest, the adventurer must roll a d20. If you roll a 2 or 3, you’ll find a regular Dead by Daylight item. If you roll 4 to 19, however, you will find a magic item, namely boots or gauntlets, which you will automatically equip. Each magical item grants its wielder an ability designed to counter one of Vecna’s spells.
Rolling a 20, which is a critical success, grants a powerful magic item that can be used as a skill.
- The Eye of Vecna allows the user to disappear for a brief moment after exiting a locker.
- The Hand of Vecna allows the user to teleport from one locker to another.
Certainly, they are objects of power, but power always has a price. Each time one of these is used, the user loses a health status, so choose your moment carefully.
As for unlucky adventurers who roll 1, a very unpleasant surprise awaits them.
