On the eighth anniversary of Dead by Daylight, Behaviour Interactive has made several announcements directly regarding its multiplayer horror game at gameplay asymmetrical, but the Quebec studio also mentioned other games, including the promising Project T. A title developed by Midwinter Entertainment with action, shooting and horror in PvE four player co-opobviously in the universe of DbD.
The studios had then promised a program ofInitiates and some playtestsbut today they are speaking out to deliver bad news. In a press releasethe developers announce that Project T is cancelled.
To our community,
When we conceptualized this project, we wanted to get players involved as early as possible, which led to the creation of this Insiders program. This approach allowed us to get very early validation of Project T’s design and gameplay, which is often the case much later in a game’s production. Following the playtest in July, We have conducted a thorough internal risk assessmentboth from a product and company perspective. While a number of you have expressed appreciation for what you’ve played, unfortunately, The result of this in-depth analysis was not satisfactory overall..
It is with a heavy heart that we announce that Project T has been cancelled. We would like to thank you for your support throughout this journey.
-The Project T Team
Rather than running into a wall with a shaky game that wouldn’t work, Behaviour Interactive And Midwinter Entertainment preferred to cut short the development of Project T, too bad for the fans. The development studio belongs to the Canadian publisher, it remains to be seen whether it will work on another project, be assigned to Dead by Daylight and/or suffer layoffs.
