Behavior Interactive likes to add new characters from popular horror culture in Dead by Daylight, often drawing on the side of cinema or other video games, but the Canadian studio does not forget to create new characters from time to time. And for the Chapter 26, players will be able to discover new Killer and Survivor.
This upcoming additional content, titled Forged in the Fogwill thus add the Knighta Killer in armor and equipped with a big sword, as well as Vittorio Toscanoa Survivor in search of elusive wisdom. Along the way, players will discover The Devastated Placea new map set in a village ravaged by the Knight and his Guards. Here is a presentation of these new characters:
Machiavellian tactics
The Knight is a calculating commander and fearsome fighter, able to strike down anyone who stands in his way. From an early age, the Knight learned to wield arms and earned the eternal allegiance of three loyal Guardsmen: the Carnifex, the Assassin, and the Jailer. Gaining fame for his martial exploits, he rose to the rank of knight and embarked on a dark campaign of domination.
The Knight Power, Guardia Compagnia, allows players to create a patrol path and summon an AI-controlled Guard, leaving a Standard Flag in position. Once summoned, this Guard can scout and patrol, hunt and pursue Survivors, or damage pallets and generators. When a Survivor is spotted, the Guard pursues its prey for a limited time or disappears when its target is injured. The Survivor can outsmart the Guard by staying alive until the hunt timer runs out, freeing another Survivor, or catching the Standard Flag when activated.
Each Guard has its own special talent, but only one Guard can be used at a time. Survivors will have to pay close attention to the whereabouts of the Knight and his ally. Tailored survival, or culling, strategies will be crucial.

Born into a family of lords, Vittorio Toscano is a scholar in search of ancient secrets and mysteries. He has an insatiable thirst for knowledge and is driven by a tireless quest to bring peace, harmony, and order to the world. After many expeditions, Vittorio met the Knight. While their relationship was initially mutually beneficial, things changed when the Knight revealed his true intentions…

This theme is uncharted territory for us. Bringing these two concepts to life has been exciting, and I’m very proud of what we’ve accomplished. These genre elements are evident throughout The Devastated Place, where the ashes of burnt buildings still glow, remnants of the Knight’s fateful visit…and since marked by the passage of the Entity.
Vittorio is obsessed with discovering the secret to travel between planes of existence. He personally hired the Knight as a protector on an expedition. Things certainly… turned sour between the two. It’s always fun when the Survivor and the Killer are narratively linked. We can’t wait for players to delve deeper into the story that unites them.
