Many things are coming to Dead by Daylight over the next few months. The most important points were recently presented, through a special event, a summary of which is available here.
The central point, and especially what will arrive the fastest, is the new chapter, named Roots of Dread. This has been widely revealed.
Roots of Dread, new chapter of Dead by Daylight
Behavior Interactive has thus given all the information relating to this new chapter, starting with the Killer. We will be dealing with Dredging, taking on a hazy form reminiscent of mist. He does not hesitate to frighten anyone who crosses his path and his gaze and will be one of the most frightening (and difficult to lose) Killers in Dead by Daylight, in particular thanks to his ability to teleport between Lockers. Survivors will have to stay on the alert.
To counter this Killer, we will be able to discover Haddie Kaur, the Survivor born in India, who grew up in Quebec and very quickly faced paranormal events. His courage will be an important asset in the fight against the Slayer, although we don’t have any details on his abilities yet. If Haddie Kaur tells you anything, it’s because we ran into her in the Archives some time ago.
Finally, the other major addition in this chapter is a map, the Garden of Joy. Taking place in a small American town, with a pretty enough setting, it will not be, since ghosts and other threats have taken up residence there.
We are very excited to offer our players an original Chapter for the game’s anniversary this year. Dead by Daylight has grown and grown enormously since its inception and with Roots of Dread we wanted to capture the essence of the game: the visceral fear and feverishness of the hunt. The Dredge is a strange and creepy monster with a unique design, a first for Dead by Daylight. He hides and hunts in the shadows with the power to engulf Survivors in darkness. I think it will bring a very intense experience for all players.

The Roots of Dread chapter of Dead by Daylight will arrive on June 7 on PC, PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One and Switch. More information will likely be released in the players leading up to his arrival. Remember that you can still earn Blood Points through codes.
