You thought you were done waiting for the release of Dead Island 2, announced in 2014 and finally back on the media scene since this summer? Think again ! On the occasion of the last financial statement ofEmbrace Groupparent company of the publisher Deep Silver, Dambuster Studios announced a new postponement for his action game with zombies.
The release date has just been shifted by almost 3 months, from February 2 to April 28, 2023. The developers justify this delay by a need to finalize the project even better, although it has already had a lot of time to be refined. Otherwise they give us see you on December 6 for a The Dead Island 2 Showcase with a trailer and gameplay unpublished.
We have some important news to share, so let’s rip that bandage off right now. We are delaying Dead Island 2: the new release date will be April 28, 2023.
The irony of delaying Dead Island 2 is not lost on us, and we’re as disappointed as you no doubt are. The delay is only 12 short weeks and development is on the home stretch now. We are going to take the time necessary to ensure that we can launch a game that we are proud to launch. For those of you who have been waiting for years, thank you for staying with us.
In the meantime, we’ll be releasing an exciting new trailer and gameplay during The Dead Island 2 Showcase, which will premiere on December 6 on our Twitch and YouTube channels, as well as on the Dead Island website.
