On the occasion of gamescom 2022, Dambuster and Deep Silver were proud to present us with the first images of Dead Island 2, since its announcement eight years ago. A lot of information had then been shared, in particular a release date giving us an appointment from the beginning of the year 2023, in February, which had not failed to bring back a certain hype within the community.
New release date for Dead Island 2
Unfortunately, the wait before you can lay your hands on Dead Island 2 will be slightly longer, since the developers announced its postponement this November 17. The release of the survival title is indeed delayed by twelve short weeks, to April 28, 2023. The studio is obviously sorry for this news, but explains that this extra time is necessary to be sure to deliver a game that they are proud of. Dambuster further indicates that Dead Island 2 is in the final stretch of its developmentwhich is good news.

In addition to thanking the players who have supported the project for many years, the developers specify that new information will be shared in early December. A new trailer and gameplay will, in fact, be published on the title’s social networks (YouTube in particular) to give us a new insight into the experience.
Otherwise, you will have to wait until April 28, to discover Dead Island 2, on PC, (exclusively on the Epic Games Store), PS4, PS5, Xbox One and Xbox Series. The developers want to offer the most gory game possible, on a map that will be divided into several districts.
