In order to celebrate the 14th anniversary of the license and the upcoming arrival of the remake, EA Motives thought it was a good time to say more about the reimagining of the first episode. We were therefore treated to a special presentation to celebrate this event, which was therefore mainly intended to show us some new images of Dead Space Remakewhile telling us a little more about the new features that will accompany this new version.

What was mostly highlighted was the fact that Isaac wasn’t really a mute hero anymore, since he speaks a lot more than in the past. What make the experience a little faster and allow the protagonist to have a little more thickness.
Zero-gravity passages have also been improved so that Isaac can move 360° without problems, puzzles have been added with certain circuit breakers and a little more pronounced metroidvania side, new weapon upgrades will be available and scenes have been modified somewhat to make them even scarier.
Dead Space 2 Remake Possible?
The development team also granted many interviews at several sites, but we will especially remember that of VGC. We know that EA Motive will now be busy with the development of a new Iron Man game, but does that mean that the hope of a remake for dead space 2 is dead ?
This is what VGC asked Roman Campos-Oriolacreative director of Dead Space Remake.
Instead of answering clearly, the latter looked at his public relations officer, before declaring with a laugh at VGC “ You want him to put a bullet in my head? ».
This may therefore cast doubt on the possibility of a Dead Space 2 Remakebut we imagine that EA is waiting to see the results of the first before declaring or considering anything.
Dead Space Remake will be released on January 27, 2023 on PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series.
