Deal concluded: an escalation of surprises during a special evening

Sublimated by scenographies and period costumes, the program presented by Sophie Davant pulls out all the stops to dazzle viewers for a spring evening, Tuesday March 29 at 9:10 p.m. on France 2.

In view of the news, we have never needed to escape as much as we do now. This is precisely the side that Deal done, during an exceptional evening in which the objects are presented and appraised in vintage settings, like what was accomplished on the previous prime. But to immerse us in an even more realistic atmosphere, Sophie Davant and his squad of auctioneers, namely Harold Hessel, Enora Alix, Yves Cosqueric and Delphine Fremaux-Lejeune, wear the outfits that correspond to the periods “crossed”. This is how we can see, through the magic of technology, the host changing era and donning a look from the Roaring Twenties, a sixties dress, a shouldered working girl jacket, a futuristic jumpsuit or even a fashionable post-war tailor. An intense and joyfully regressive parenthesis, if we are to believe those concerned…

“Everyone who took part in the experience is delighted. And what Sophie told me, word for word, when we finished, it was: “I didn’t see the day go by.” Usually, there is a lot of latency on a shoot. There, she frankly burst, relate Bruno Henriquet, chief executive of Warner Bros, the company that produces the program.

The pieces offered for sale, among which we find a drawing of Keith Haring, a Lalique light, a sculpture ofEdouard-Marcel Sandoz, Goyard travel trunks, a statue of Son Goku and a digital object also contribute to making this Deal done a real show. This evening also gratifies us with an unprecedented dramatic spring: next to the seven buyers present on the set, two of their colleagues are installed in an adjoining room and can bid in a masked way. “In summary, we keep our fundamentals, namely that we learn a lot of things, but we also have fun”, explains Bruno Henriquet, who claims his pride in producing a program cited at the last Césars by Valerie Lemercier.
