Dear Actions – When the Santa Claus wears a police uniform

As a “rapid intervention group” it is there when things get dicey – but now the special police unit showed its soft core and made children’s eyes shine: officials gave the eleven young patients who have to celebrate Christmas at the oncology in the Graz LKH police -Teddies and games.

With their special training, the officers are usually on duty every day as a “rapid intervention group” (SIG) in the event of increased risk and as a support unit for the regular police patrols. But on this “operation” they showed how much heart beats under the police uniform. Police officers brought cute police teddy bears and games to the eleven sick children who are currently in oncology in Graz. In addition, 1,200 euros in donations were handed over to the children’s cancer charity! Wish fulfilled The Graz-Lendplatz police station also touched with this campaign: the team took part in the Christmas letter campaign by Caritas and “Krone”. The officials donated a “Montessori Motoriktafel” for the St. Christoph family home in Graz-Liebenau. This is a socio-educational facility in which underage and adult mothers and fathers are prepared and supported on their way to an independent life.
