Death at 36 of Darren Kent, seen in Game of Thrones and Blood Drive

British actor Darren Kent died on August 11, he was 36. The general public knew him best for his short but tragic appearance in “Game of Thrones”.

Darren Kent died on August 11 at just 36 years old. The announcement was made yesterday on his Facebook page: “His parents and best friend were by his side. Our thoughts and love go out to his family at this difficult time.”

Born in Essex, Darren Kent was known for his role in episode 10 of season 4 of Game of Thrones, in which he played a goat herder received in audience by Daenerys (Emilia Clarke) while carrying in his arms the body of her three-year-old daughter, burned by the fire of her dragons. This meeting upsets the young woman, who then has two of her dragons chained so that they no longer cause such drama.

But Kent was also one of the faces of the unknown and crazy series Blood Drive, a sort of Mad Max with Tarantino-Rodriguez sauce. He interpreted “the Specialist” (The Scholar in original version), an outstanding mechanic.

But the British actor had also appeared in EastEnders, Community, Snow White and the Huntsman, The Incident or most recently Dungeons & Dragons: Honor of Thieves. He was also a director of feature films (Meadow Lane, in particular) and short films. His You Know Me had earned him the prize for best director and best short film at the London International Monthly Film Festival.
