Darren Kent died on August 11 at just 36 years old. The announcement was made yesterday on his Facebook page: “His parents and best friend were by his side. Our thoughts and love go out to his family at this difficult time.”
Born in Essex, Darren Kent was known for his role in episode 10 of season 4 of Game of Thrones, in which he played a goat herder received in audience by Daenerys (Emilia Clarke) while carrying in his arms the body of her three-year-old daughter, burned by the fire of her dragons. This meeting upsets the young woman, who then has two of her dragons chained so that they no longer cause such drama.

His You Know Me had earned him the prize for best director and best short film at the London International Monthly Film Festival.
