Death of a 22-year-old Frenchman after vaccination, we know the probable causes

Maxime Beltra, 22, died of anaphylactic shock the night after his coronavirus vaccine injection. An investigation is underway to determine the exact causes of death, possibly a food allergy. Social networks are taking over history to tear themselves apart over vaccines.

Maxime Beltra is a 22-year-old young man who was vaccinated on Monday, July 26, 2021, in order to obtain his health pass to go on vacation. He died overnight after the injection. The next day, his father posted a video on social media about his son’s death, linking him to the vaccination. An investigation is currently underway in order to be able to carry out an autopsy to determine the precise causes of death. This news arouses tensions on all sides between mistrustful of vaccination, anti-health pass and supporters of the vaccine. Liberation interviewed the young man’s father, as well as the person in charge of the vaccination center via his column Check News.

“I am not an anti-vaccine” specifies Frédéric Beltra

Frédéric Beltra, the young man’s father, delivers a more nuanced speech than the current recovery. If he declares in his video: “It is criminal to put on the market vaccines that […] kill 22-year-olds in great shape “, he also wishes to denounce the recovery by politicians and conspirators and call for dignity. “I am not anti-vaccine‚ I do not subscribe to this debate. My approach is republican. I believe in the police and the justice system. I just want to know what happened. Maybe that my son’s death may be of use to other families. If we can prevent this from happening to another child ” explains the grieving father. The investigation opened by the Montpellier prosecutor’s office must determine whether an allergy may also be involved. Indeed, Maxime was subject to food allergies causing angioedemas. This is what caused his death, with a reaction to a food of violence never seen by his relatives.

Asked by Check News, Jean-Christophe Calmes, head of the vaccination center, explains: “The young man said he had a history of dietary anaphylactic shock with angioedema, but he could still be vaccinated. We kept him for thirty minutes instead of the usual fifteen and he was able to go home. “. Usually, the time between exposure to the vaccine and the allergic reaction is usually almost immediate. Professor Jean-Luc Faillie, head of the Regional Pharmacovigilance Center explains that we do not “cannot consider effects which occur more than three hours after exposure to be anaphylaxis”.
