Death of Arno: this last wish of the Belgian singer which should be respected

Arno is gone at the age of 72. The famous Belgian singer leaves behind many fans who mourn him since yesterday, but also friends and colleagues.

This is the case of Mireille Mathieu, with which he recently recorded a title. She spoke about her disappearance, very touched: “I learned the terrible news at the end of the session (recording, editor’s note)his departure touches me deeply. His almost testamentary desire was to record a duet with me. Two weeks ago in Brussels, he recorded his voice with great courage. Arno was a real poet, with a very particular way of telling himself through his songs”she told theAFP.

A more than symbolic last wish for the singer

Detected in 2019 and revealed to the public in 2020, his terrible illness finally won him on April 23. Although he still had a whole bunch of musical projects, which kept him alive, in a way, the singer went away, leaving the memory of a passionate, joyful and beating man. He himself had said these few words on the subject: “Music still saves me by preserving my state of mind”he said.

He also entrusted France Inter with a beautiful message towards life, towards his life: “I had a wonderful life. I traveled all over the world through music, I enjoyed life. I take this happiness with me. Thank you life!”

His last wish, which is about to be respected, was more than symbolic for the Belgian singer. The latter has indeed asked that his ashes be scattered in the North Sea after his funeral, off his hometown.
