Death of Christophe Dominici: the terrible confidences of his father on the day of his death: Femme Actuelle The MAG

The death of Christophe Dominici moved the whole of France. The French international rugby union player, who died in Saint-Cloud on November 24, 2020, left behind his wife Loretta Denaro, as well as their two daughters (14 years old) and Mya (11 years old). But his whole family was devastated to learn of his death, at only 48 years old. His father, Jean Dominici, was also shocked by the news. During his funeral which took place on Saturday, December 5, 2020 at the Saint-Louis church in Hyères, he also assured the Parisian : "Do not ask a man who has lost his two children to believe in God". Christophe Dominici indeed rests alongside Pascale, his big sister, who died years ago, at the age of 24, in a road accident. This second bereavement is therefore extremely difficult for the father of the family. Still very touched by the tragedy that struck him three months earlier, Jean agreed to confide, Thursday, February 25, to Paris Match to whom he revealed the last shocking text message he had sent to his son. The same day, he also accepted the invitation of Cyril Hanouna in his show Do not touch My TV.

On the tray, Jean Dominici confided with great modesty about the day when everything changed for him : Tuesday, November 24, 2020, that terrible day during which Christophe Dominici was found dead in the park of Saint-Cloud. "My son's best friend calls me, he says 'Jeannot, how are you?', I'm a little surprised because he rarely calls me", he remembered. The friend in question, seeing that Jean Dominici had not yet heard the news, preferred to let someone closer to him tell him. His nephew then called him moments later, just to ask him how he was doing. Two calls that ended up pissing him off. But Jean Dominici could not imagine that such a drama had just happened.

"I don't know where I am anymore"

A friend of his wife ended up joining them to alert them: on the internet, many Internet users announced the death of their son. "So there, I said it's not possible. And then there I see all his friends arriving at home, because we live in a village, and I don't know where I am anymore", he revealed moved to tears. To find out, Jean Dominici decided to jump in his car around 5 p.m. to go to Paris. It's finally a her son's former housekeeper who confirmed the sad news to him.
