Death of Daniel Lévi: who is Sandrine Aboukrat, his last companion?

Daniel Lévi died on Saturday August 6 from colon cancer at the age of 60. The singer, composer, performer and pianist leaves behind a companion, Sandrine Aboukrat, who was also the mother of his last child.

Three years after revealing to the general public that he had colon cancer, Daniel Lévi died on Saturday August 6. He was only 60 years old. The interpreter of “The desire to love”, who played the role of his life as Moses in the musical The Ten Commandments, will have had a career as rich as it is intense. From the beginning of the 80s, Daniel Lévi began to compose his own albums, under the influence of jazz and soul. His appetite for music led him to release numerous records until the 2010s, at the end of which his career was cut short by illness.

But Daniel Lévi has always known how to remain dignified. The fight of his life has always been evoked in all transparency by the French singer, who also excelled sitting behind his piano. “It took a big crisis for me to take exams. I underwent emergency surgery in November due to a blockage when I was already on chemo and helpless. There was widespread infection and a series of cascading problems. I was in a coma. The kidneys no longer worked, the lungs either, the vital prognosis was engaged. I had edema. I had water in my lungs”he explained in November 2019.

Supported by his companion Sandrine Aboukrat, Daniel Lévi therefore fought like a devil for almost three years. But illness took him away. Despite the injuries, the couple decides to get married just before cancer enters their daily life. Father of several children, Daniel Lévi has always evoked with tenderness the one who will remain as the last woman of his life.

Like last Valentine’s Day, when the singer did not hesitate to publicly declare his love for her : “On this special day when we celebrate love, a special dedication for the one who shares my life with an anthology of extraordinary moments and who continues to be my guardian angel on a daily basis… Love you my wife”. Sandrine Aboukrat, who has never hidden being “a fan of the early hours” of Daniel Lévi, will be able to begin his mourning. A situation that we do not wish on anyone.
