Death of ex-rugby player Federico Aramburu: Loïk Le Priol arrived in France and placed in detention


Loïk Le Priol, suspected of having shot and killed ex-rugby player Federico Martin Aramburu on March 19 in Paris, arrived this Thursday at Roissy Charles-de-Gaulle airport, from Budapest. He was placed in detention.

The 27-year-old young man, a former soldier and activist in the ultra-right Groupe Union Défense (GUD) movement, was arrested three days after the events in Hungary, at the Zahony border post, as part of a search warrant. European stop, as he was about to travel to Ukraine.

The ex-marine commando, who was originally due to arrive in France yesterday Wednesday, is finally expected today in Roissy.

He should spend the night at the depot, before being presented this Friday to an examining magistrate with a view to his indictment, then to a judge of freedoms and detention to rule on his possible imprisonment.

Loïk Le Priol is known for his radicalism and violence. His anchorage to the ultra-right earned him to be “file S” by the General Directorate of Homeland Security (DGSI).

The accomplices already imprisoned

In this case, two other people have already been indicted and remanded in custody.

Close to Loik Le Priol, Romain Bouvier, 31, was indicted for “murder” and two offenses related to the possession of weapons. Suspected of having also shot Aramburu, he was imprisoned in the prison of La Santé in Paris.

Next June, Romain Bouvier and Loïk Le Priol, are due to appear in court for “aggravated violence” against a member of the GUD, whom they are suspected of having beaten and humiliated with three other members of the ultra-right movement. . Their judicial control prohibited them from making contact.

A 24-year-old woman was also indicted in this case for “complicity in murder”. She is presented as the girlfriend of Loïk Le Priol and is suspected of having driven a vehicle belonging to the latter on the evening of the events. The young woman is currently in pre-trial detention.
