A tragedy that occurred in the middle of summer. On August 15, 2023, Gérard Leclerc died in the crash of a tourist plane he was piloting, in Lavau-sur-Loire (Loire-Atlantique). By losing his life in this accident the journalist left behind his wife Julie and their three children, Antoine, Mathieu and Charlotte. Since this sad disappearance, the radio host walled herself in silence and has never spoken publicly about this tragedy. Guest on the set of At Jordan’s on C8, this Tuesday, January 30, Élisabeth Levy revealed that she had news from the widow of her former colleague from Time for the pros by “the middleman of people”.
“I think it’s hard. He’s the man of her life. They built a great family. Gérard spoke to me about his children, he was very proud.”, confided the 59-year-old journalist. In this terrible ordeal, the mother can count on the support and love of those close to her. “I know that Julie is surroundedbut you can imagine after 40 years of marriage…”, she added with great emotion. Still upset by the death of her former colleague, Élisabeth Levy wanted to pay tribute to his memory. “I really liked Gérard. Firstly because he was a good boy, a good comrade, a really lovely guy. And besides, because I also liked bickering with him. I am very grateful to him for that, but also for the discussions.”, she said. And to conclude: “As we lived in the same neighborhood, sometimes we would leave at the same time. We didn’t see each other outside, but I had affection for him.” A tender tribute that will warm Julie Leclerc’s heart a little.
