Born in 1963 in Montreal, Quebec, Jean-Marc Vallee was the father of two children (from a marriage with the writer Chantal Cadieux) and the reasons for his death have not yet been communicated. According to the site People, the director died “suddenly and unexpectedly”. His business partner, producer Nathan Ross, responded to the sad announcement in a statement: “Jean-Marc was synonymous with creativity, authenticity, non-conformism. He was a true artist and a generous and loving guy.
