The last man suspected of being involved in the death on Saturday in Paris of former Argentinian rugby player Federico Martin Aramburu was arrested on Wednesday in Sarthe by the Nantes research and intervention brigade (BRI), learned the AFP from a source familiar with the matter.
The main suspect, Loïk Le Priol, was arrested overnight from Tuesday to Wednesday in Hungary on the border with Ukraine.
Also close to the GUD
Romain Bouvier, 31, was arrested in Sablé-sur-Sarthe, another source familiar with the matter told AFP. Like Loïk Le Priol, he is an ultra-right activist, a member of the GUD small group. On Tuesday, a 24-year-old woman suspected of having driven the car, a jeep belonging to Loïk Le Priol, was indicted for “complicity in murder” and placed in pre-trial detention.
According to the first elements of the investigation, the two men would have shot the former Argentinian international, shot dead after an altercation in a bar in Saint-Germain-des-Près, Le Mabillon.
Assassinated for a “dispute” between two groups
The facts took place around 6 a.m. on boulevard Saint-Germain after a “dispute” between two groups of people at the Le Mabillon bar, police sources told AFP. The groups were separated by bouncers, one of these sources added, but the suspects “returned shortly afterwards with a vehicle and fired shots”.
Loïk Le Priol and Romain Bouvier, must appear, for another case, in court in June with three other people for “aggravated violence” against a member of the GUD. They are suspected of having beaten and humiliated him.
