According to the website NewsChain, British composer Monty Norman died on July 11 at the age of 94. He had created the James Bond theme music for James Bond 007 against Dr. No in 1962. Based on the song Bad Sign, Good Sign from an aborted musical whose songs he had signed, Norman had written the majority of the now iconic theme of the famous spy.

It was at the request of the producers of the feature film that the composer John Barry then retouched the piece by re-orchestrating it. A legal dispute will ensue between the two men to determine which is the official creator of the theme. Justice will decide in favor of Monty Norman.
The theme has since appeared in every film in the James Bond saga.
