For Paris Matchher granddaughter said: “Régine has lived a thousand lives, so her departure is not premature, in the sense of unfair. I’m rather relieved about that, because she didn’t want to age too much at 92. I shared with her her last week, her last day, her final moments (…) I think it was with a clear conscience that she chose to leave.

Close to his grandmother, Daphne Rotcage has seen that the health of the latter had declined in recent months. Settled in the United Kingdom, the young woman then went regularly to France to see her. She recalled: “Last summer she had a health problem and I came back from London. We realized that she could no longer stay at home. We decided together that she would go to the Maison des artistes.“According to Daphné Rotcage, Régine was accompanied until the end.”All his friends took turns“, she assured, before specifying that the state of health of the star “began to deteriorate at the start of the year.

When will Régine’s funeral take place?

The day after the death of the singer who marked an entire generation, her granddaughter announced to theAFP that his funeral will take place on Monday, May 9, 2022. The ceremony is scheduled for 10 a.m. at the crematorium of the Père-Lachaise cemetery. Regine’s loved ones will then be able to send him a last goodbye.
