It was the discreet pillar of Johnny Hallyday’s group. American guitarist Robin Le Mesurier died at the age of 68 from cancer, sad news announced on social media by drummer Geoff Dugmore and harmonica player Greg Zlap, who had rubbed shoulders with him on stage with the French rocker, but also Julian Lennon, John’s son.
Born in London, settled in the United States for a long time, Robin Le Mesurier played with Ron Wood of the Rolling Stones before accompanying Rod Stewart from 1980 to 1986. His collaboration with Johnny Hallyday began in 1994 on the album in English Rough town on which appears two of his compositions. From then on, he joined the youth idol scene group, never to leave it until the latter’s disappearance in 2017.
