This Friday, La Dépêche reveals the results of the autopsy. They confirm that the Samoan player had died as a result of drowning. Toxicological analyzes revealed traces of alcohol and cocaine in Kelly Meafua’s body. The Montalbanais had a blood alcohol level of 2.34 grams at the time of the tragedy.
The public prosecutor also confirmed that he had consumed cocaine after the victory against Narbonne. “Experts assure that the taking of this drug took place only 4 to 8 hours before death.»
CCTV footage confirming that Kelly Meafua’s jump was voluntary: a challenge launched with Christopher Voata, one of his teammates, and Saia Fekitoa, the Tongan center of Racing Club Narbonnais, present at the scene of the tragedy. The public prosecutor of Montauban, Bruno Sauvage, indicated that the case was closed for “absence of break-in“.
