Death of Sihem: the main suspect transferred to another prison for security

This Thursday, February 2, the lifeless body of Sihem was found in a forest in Gard, in La Grand-Combe. The main suspect was arrested and jailed. But this Sunday, February 5, Le Parisien reveals that the man was transferred to another prison for security.

A tragic death. A week after his disappearance, the lifeless body of Sihem Belouahmia18, was found in a forest in Gardin La Grand-Combe, Thursday February 2, 2023. After denying any involvement, Mahfoud H.a 39-year-old man, is confessed. According to the public prosecutor of Nîmes a “dispute linked to a romantic relationship” would be at the origin of the tragedy. The suspect is also not unknown to justice, as a local mediator reminded our colleagues from Parisian this Sunday, February 5.

He had, in the Gard, a solid reputation as a criminal for his thefts and burglaries. Strangely, he never got busted for possible drug activity. He was a consumer himself and we thought he was capable of getting into trouble in the middle of the traffic to recover sometimes material, sometimes cash, if necessary by traveling to Spain “, he explained. Charged, the man was remanded in custody. But shortly after arriving at Nîmes prison, Mahfoud H. “had to be transferred to Béziers remand center for security reasons”says Le Parisien.

The disturbing profile of the main suspect

A psychiatric expert who was able to examine Mahfoud H. during his incarceration in 2016, described a personality “who could be considered a sociopath since adolescence”. “His personality is not psychiatric but criminological. He did not internalize the law, nor the authority“, he told Le Parisien a few days ago, highlighting a “mild intellectual disability“. During a personality survey, Mahfoud H would also have explained: “I knew the children’s judge like everyone else… but I did nothing serious. I’m not a rapist, I haven’t hurt anyone. When I steal a motorcycle, I don’t hurt anyone. There are some who take drugs, who do robberies, I was just doing burglaries.
