Death of the co-founder of the Boulanger household appliance brand at 94


Founded in 1954, the Boulanger company is bereaved following the death of its co-founder, Bernard Boulanger, this Friday, November 25.

The French consumer appliance group Boulanger announced Monday, in association with the family, the death of the co-founder of the company Bernard Boulanger, at the age of 94. Born in Calais on June 27, 1928, Bernard Boulanger first took care of “of sales, before also taking charge of artisanal construction and the repair of products (in particular radios and televisions), on the disappearance of his brother Gustave“, according to a press release from the brand.

The group specializing in household appliances and multimedia equipment with the orange logo was founded by the two brothers Bernard and Gustave Boulanger in 1954 in the North, then bought in 1986 by the Mulliez family, owners in particular of Auchan and Decathlon. It now has 201 stores and has 9,000 employees in different regions of France.
