The audience at the Accor Arena in Bercy had their hearts set on Saturday, October 15, 2022 in the 12th arrondissement of Paris. The members of the kompa music group, Carimi, had found themselves on stage 6 years after announcing their separation. Carlo Vieux, Mickael Guirand and Richard Cave had even invited their colleague Mikaben on the boards, he who had participated in several of their musical successes. Unfortunately, the evening ended faster than expected due to a real tragedy.

41-year-old Michael Benjamin, aka Mikaben, collapsed after singing his title Or Pati in front of some 10,000 spectators. The artists gathered at the Accor Arena in Bercy had to put an end to their performances, presenting their apologies to the public. “It’s very complicated, did they explain. We need your prayer. Someone fainted.” Doctors and rescuers quickly came to take care of Mikaben, but his death was announced shortly after, despite their efforts.
