Deathadder V3 Pro TEST: when a feather becomes a gaming mouse!

The Razer Deathadder V3 Pro is therefore the new figurehead of the manufacturer in the segment of ultra-light mice intended for gamers. It is intended to take over from the Deathadder V2 Pro which already offered premium features, more buttons, logo backlighting and more wireless connection methods. Yes, you read that right, the manufacturer’s new racing beast is therefore less well endowed with accessory functions than the previous model. Is it serious doctor? Answer in our test.

The Razer Deathadder V3 Pro is the mouse you need as it responds to all levels.

The Razer Deathadder V3 Pro Available in two colors, black or white. As you will see in our photos, we inherited the clearest model and we fell in love with it, even if the mouse should get dirty more easily in hands that are not necessarily always very clean. We found its design very successful with a more rounded shape than the previous models in the range. Although bigger than its big sister, it weighs 25 grams less, which almost gives the impression of having nothing in hand and managing the pointer only with your hand. On this subject, the grip is excellent, the fingers falling precisely where they should especially if you are a follower of the palm grip. The lightly textured surface is pleasant to the touch and provides excellent hold, and if that’s not enough, there are in the box grips stickers to improve the grip especially in claw grip Where fingertip grip. Only downside, if you are left-handed go your way, this model is not ambidextrous and there is not one for you.

Razer Deathadder V3 Pro 09 1Light as a feather, the Razer Deathadder V3 Pro offers a pleasant glide and has never given signs of weakness in its tracking. even on difficult surfaces like that of our smoked glass desk or even our jeans leg or the window (yes, we are sometimes a little teasing!). For this it is equipped with an optical sensor Focus Pro 30K which is assisted by artificial intelligence features like Smart Tracking, Motion-Sync or Asymmetric Cut-off which, at the time, are not just marketing arguments to do well. On the button side, there are switches optical Gen-3 that deliver crisp, clean quick clicks without ever any bounce or accidental double-clicks. If it is less impressive than the quality of the tracking of the mouse, it remains of a formidable efficiency with, as a bonus, a lifespan announced at 90 million clicks. Small detail that bothers a bit, the DPI adjustment button is located under the mouse, which prevents a change on the fly for those who are interested.

The grip is excellent, the fingers falling precisely where they should especially if you are a fan of the palm grip.

Like the keyboard DeathStalker V2 Pro that we tested recently, the Deathadder V3 Pro mouse is equipped with the technology HyperSpeed Wireless which offers a very fast connection which we could say is without latency as it is low. In fact, it comes with the Razer HyperPolling Wireless dongle which communicates with the mouse every 0.25 ms which is not far from being four times faster than the average of the competition. Battery life is advertised for around 50 hours, but in a short week, we have yet to bring the beauty to its knees using it every day. In addition, the wire used to connect the PC to the dongle allows you to use the mouse while recharging it in a completely optimal way. Razer knows how to make braided and flexible cables, it is indisputable. On the other hand, on the side of things that annoy, there is no Bluetooth connection. But why did you remove this very useful option? Probably to save a few grams or to save production, but that’s a shame.

The facility is plug ‘n play and if you have Synapse installed, you can also customize the five programmable buttons in a very simple way, or even create profiles according to your uses. And that’s where his big sister, the Deathadder V2 Pro did better by offering no less than eight programmable buttons. This choice, which may surprise, was made with the aim of offering a mouse for gamers of FPS or games requiring velocity and not for MMOs or titles requiring a plethora of shortcuts. Another dropout from the Deathadder V3 Pro is the RGB which is however a strong argument for gamers normally. Indeed, here no luminous logo to undoubtedly gain a little autonomy. However, it really does not bother especially with the white model entrusted to us.

In the end, if you are a fan of ultra-light mice and you are not attracted by MMOs needing many buttons to play, the Razer Deathadder V3 Pro is the mouse you need as it responds to all levels : perfect handling, almost non-existent latency, impressive tracking that blew us away, more than sufficient autonomy and, in the event of a power failure, a braided and flexible cable allowing you to play while recharging. What more ? Come on, let’s go crazy and cross our fingers for a left-handed model.
