This Monday, January 3, 2022, the bad news fell: Igor Bogdanoff died of Covid-19, only six days after the death of his twin brother Grichka. The twins had been hospitalized at the same hospital since mid-December and had both refused to be vaccinated. According to the first information, it would be very likely that the scientists will be buried together in the coming days.
In the meantime, tributes abound across the media and on social networks. It must be said thatIgor and Grichka Bogdanoff (or Bogdanov) were true phenomena of their kind. Besides their physical appearance which has always intrigued a lot, it was for their work that they were known, and this since the 70s. Indeed, at the time, they released their first book entitled Keys to science fiction. A work that met with some success and opened the doors to the small screen for them where they landed sections in various programs. They subsequently became the figures of their own show in 1979: Time X. The show blended science, science fiction and popular culture and aired for nearly ten years, until 1987.
It had to happen on the air
And precisely, it is this program that Cyril Hanouna would have liked to bring up to date. The host even boxed a pilot. He aired an excerpt from it this Monday in Do not touch My TV after saluting the memory of the twins who had been his friends for several years.
On the images, we discover Igor and Grichka dressed in futuristic suits and driving a spaceship, as at the time of Time X, while talking about the lives of a revolutionary mathematician and astronaut. A sequence that necessarily moved Cyril Hanouna, who regrets not having had time to complete the project. “It had to happen on the air, we had made several pilots. It’s dramatic, we were absolute fans of Igor and Grichka who were really friends“, did he declare.
With the two brothers, the host still had a good time, especially when the latter had become columnists in Do not touch My TV. In 2015, the three of them even made the buzz by releasing the single Bogda Bogdanov accompanied by a completely crazy clip. Good memories !
