Debates and appeals – anti-inflation: What should a welfare state achieve?

“We will have to consider who we want to support”
Gottfried Tappeiner, economics expert at the University of Innsbruck, also wants a culture of discussion: “As a society, we will have to think about what and who do we want to support? Inflation is a good reason to think about what a welfare state should do. But a developed country should not let anyone fall below a certain limit. One should also discuss which structures are to blame for the fact that some people slip in emergency situations.”
