Unveiled at the PC Gaming Show in June 2022, Deceive Inc. is a title that has been very quiet over the past few months despite being supposed to be released this year. Good news for those eagerly awaiting it, the multiplayer action and spy game from Sweet Bandits Studios and Tripwire Interactive resurfaced yesterday to announce that it’s coming. March 21 on PC via Steam and the Epic Games Store, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S.
An open beta and cross-play on March 10
In addition to sharing this information, the developers took advantage of an article on the PlayStation Blog to present their production in a little more detail. According to them, it offers a solo or team of three experience focused on “infiltration and social deception”. Able to bring together up to twelve players on the same map, each participant embodies a spy responsible for accomplishing a specific mission while managing to get out alive.
Concretely, “Each agent appears undercover posing as one of the many NPCs that populate the map. Using their unique weapons and abilities, plus a few high-tech gadgets for good measure, Agents must use their knowledge of espionage to identify other players, avoid detection, gather intel , buy upgrades, and finally locate and extract the valuable target/cargo. »
At launch, eight agents will be available (Squire, Ace, Chavez, Madame Xiu, Hans, Horsewoman, Larceny and YU-MI) and divided into four different classes (Champion, Tracker, Villain and Troublemaker). For example, the Champion is defined as a “balanced and self-sufficient fighter who can pass through thick and thin” while the Villain is a “sneaky and cunning character who uses tricks to get ahead of the competition”.
While waiting for its release on March 21, note that Deceive Inc. will offer an open beta and cross-play on PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S on the weekend of March 10.
