Deconfinement: reopening of cinemas, casinos … the government's surprise announcement: Femme Actuelle Le MAG

Towards a gradual return to normal. Due to the coronavirus-related health crisis, cinemas, casinos, theaters, stadiums and other halls were closed, but the government made a surprise announcement the night of Friday June 19 to Saturday June 20, 2020. The epidemic appears to be under control despite some small clusters identified and that is why a Defense and National Security Council was held in the presence of Emmanuel Macron to discuss the new deconfinement measures.

As explained in a statement that The Parisian was able to consult, it was decided to reopen many establishments on Monday June 22, 2020. So, cinemas can accommodate spectators under strict sanitary conditions and team sports can resume with "appropriate prevention measures."

Casinos and stadiums also affected

From July 11, a new step will be taken. River cruises will be allowed but only in Europe, and the stadiums and racetracks will be able to accommodate the public within a limit of 5,000 people.

Finally, nothing new about nightclubs and theaters. Professionals in the sector will have to wait until September, if all goes well. The government has indicated that these places will reopen in September "subject to a new assessment of the epidemiological situation."
