Decoration for Christmas: a light goes on for us
The right lighting is particularly important during the Christmas season. The days are getting shorter and it is getting dark early. Candlelight and fairy lights that bathe the rooms in soft light ensure cozy comfort. The selection is huge and luckily, when it comes to candles and lights, a lot helps a lot. In other words: You can never have enough of this type of lighting.

If, on the other hand, you like it a little more “classic”, that is, if you want to emphasize the Christian background, then you could set up a nativity scene. These are available in a variety of designs, made of wood, for example, and in very different sizes – depending on how much space you have for them.
It is often very similar with a traditional one pyramid. The multi-storey handicrafts like to pick up on Christian motifs and not only inspire children with their turns in the candlelight. You can’t go wrong with a pyramid from the Ore Mountains in particular. Because this is where the arts and crafts are at home.

Arrangements, door wreaths and other floral elements complement the decoration for Christmas perfectly. Here, too, your preferences play a role in the design. If you prefer to emphasize the natural character of the decoration, you can do this wonderfully with other products from nature, such as cinnamon sticks, aniseed stars or straw stars or figures made of straw. Tip: Can’t find the right arrangement? Then you can also become active yourself. This requires a bit of skill, but equipped with the desired decorative elements and – if it is a wreath – a blank and a hot glue gun, you can make your own personal decoration for Christmas.
The star of the decorations for Christmas: the Christmas tree
When does the Christmas tree become a crucial part of the Christmas decoration? This question is often the subject of heated debate. While some don’t set up the tree until December 24th, others prefer to have something from the Christmas tree for as long as possible. Whenever you set it up, it becomes the main actor and should get appropriate attention.
Complete sets of tree decorations are ideal because you can be sure that all elements will fit together. Supplemented with beautiful lights – whether real candles or a string of lights – and possibly a pretty decorative chain, the whole thing ends up creating a coherent picture.
You can of course also look for your balls and figures for the tree decorations individually. This gives you maximum design freedom and you can choose the number of decorative elements at your own discretion and size of the tree. Perhaps you will start with a few balls and make it a little tradition to buy yourself a special ball every year?
Tip: If you value sustainability, then consider whether you prefer to get a somewhat smaller tree in a pot instead of a large fir tree. This can be decorated just as beautifully and ideally stays with you for many years.
Window pictures ensure “snow” – even on warmer days
Something – wrongly, we think – is out of fashion Window pictures. With them you can easily adapt your window panes to the great Christmas decorations that may be on the windowsill. Lettering, snowflakes spread over a large area or Christmas tree balls are available in a wide variety of designs from snow-white to motley. Since they can be removed from the windows without leaving any residue, you can use them again and again for Christmas decorations over the next few years.
A festive table whets the appetite for Christmas
If you want to continue your Christmas decorations on the dining or coffee table, you have numerous options. Starting with beautiful cookie plates, decorative cookie jars, tablecloths and serviettes, you can also score points with matching Christmas tableware.
On the table you can really let off steam again and bring the joy of Christmas to the climax. That’s right, we think. After all, Christmas is only once a year.
