Ecovacs renews its high-end robot vacuum cleaner and skips a few numbers in the process. The Deebot X2 Omni thus gives way to the Deebot X5 Omni at the head of its catalog. This model should logically bring its share of improvements, mainly for floor washing and navigation. Let’s admit, however, that these don’t seem quite up to the jump in numbering. The X5 even seems worse off than the X2 on certain points, but it will also be a little more affordable than it and its two direct competitors: the S8 MaxV Ultra from Roborock and the X40 Ultra from Dreame.
Better equipped to navigate, but not to detect obstacles?
