They are absolute icons in rock history. And now the British band Deep Purple is conquering the charts again, believe it or not, 50 years after their first number one album "In Rock". Her latest work "Whoosh!" climbed the official German album charts according to GfK Entertainment. Overall, the men around singer and front man Ian Gillan (74) have already released 21 studio albums with a changing line-up, eight of which made it to number one.

Last week's number one album, the debut work "Staircase" by rapper Apache 207 (22), has to be content with fourth place this week. In the singles charts, the summer hit "Savage Love (Laxed – Siren Beat)" by Jawsh 685 (17) and Jason Derulo (30) once again holds its own in the ranking and now greets from number one for the first time.
