The deletion concerns 26 million tracks published between September 2023 and March 2024. Deezer is particularly targeting music tracks “white noise” which pollute its catalog, but also the imitations made via artificial intelligence, “fake albums” with a single track or even songs that have not been listened to for a year.
In total, the streaming platform had 150 million titles in its catalog before this massive deletion.
