(CercleFinance.com) – Deezer announces the renewal of its partnership with Merlin, the independents’ partner for digital music licensing.
The new collaboration aims to guarantee appropriate and equitable valuation of independent music by allowing labels, distributors and other rights holders who are members of the Merlin ecosystem to benefit from the new artist-centered streaming remuneration model developed by Deezer.
Among the new initiatives explored by streaming services, Deezer offers a new artist-centered remuneration model, only deployed in France to date.
“This model rewards artists and content that generates active fan engagement, restores the importance of music and strengthens fraud detection measures,” the press release said.
