Guest of La Grande interview Europe 1-CNews, Sabrina Agresti-Roubache, Secretary of State for Citizenship and the City, positioned herself for an anti-delinquency policy based mainly on prevention. It emphasizes, in particular, the responsibility of parents in the delinquency processes of children and adolescents.

At the microphone of Romain Desarbres, Sabrina Agresti-Roubache, Secretary of State for Citizenship and the City, said she was in favor of an anti-delinquency policy which would emphasize prevention. She also insists on “facing parents with their responsibilities” in cases of child and adolescent delinquency. She nevertheless qualifies her remarks by evoking the difficulties that single-parent families can encounter in raising children.

“We can no longer let parents have children who destroy everything without making them face their responsibilities. When we have children, we are responsible for them, except in cases of social or psychiatric problems,” she continues.

Prevention for drug users

On prevention, the Secretary of State wishes to raise awareness about addictive behavior, in particular by working on drug consumption: “No consumers, no dealers. In Marseille, consumers are now appearing. The President of the Republic had requested the payment of the criminal fixed fine directly on those who are sanctioned and who are controlled with drug possession. It is important to make people responsible.”
