Delivery bottlenecks with the PS5: This is how Sony wants to get the problem under control now

The Playstation 5 is still very difficult to obtain. A new chip manufacturing process could now significantly increase production. Here you can find out everything you need to know about it.

The Playstation 5 has now been on the market for more than a year and a half and demand still far exceeds supply. One of the reasons for this is the worldwide lack of chips, which limits production. As the industry expert “Zuby Tech” announces, that could change soon.

The chip supplier AMD recently started production of the Ryzen 7 6800U notebook processor. A special 6-nanometer manufacturing process is used for this. With this, significantly more chips can be produced.

Delivery bottlenecks with the PS5: New production process should remedy the situation

It is considered likely that the new process will also be used for PS5 chips in the future. This is also indicated by the recent registration by Sony of a new PS5 model with the identifier “CFI-1200” in Japan, as “DualShockers” reports. Previously, the models were referred to as “CFI-11XX”.

However, one should not hope for a leap in performance with the new hardware. There will probably be improvements primarily in terms of availability.
