Delphine Arnault continues to climb the career ladder! The daughter of the richest man in the world becomes head of the luxury brand Dior.

Bernard Arnault, 73, and his daughter Delphine, 47, are standing on the roof terrace of the Parisian luxury hotel “Cheval Blanc” on a sunny October day. But they have little sense for the fantastic view of the Seine – they dress up for their conversation back a protected corner. You can tell a lot from your gestures. Both seem extremely familiar and purposeful at the same time.

Delphine Arnault is following in her father’s footsteps

This mix of family spirit and professionalism has now led to Delphine Arnault becoming Dior boss. Patriarch Bernard Arnault is no longer attached to any of the brands in his LVMH group of companies, because the history of the world’s most successful luxury group began with Dior. And no other brand is currently experiencing such a high. Sounds good – but also increases the pressure on dolphins.

“This is another milestone on a career journey characterized by excellence,” Arnault, the richest man in the world with a fortune of nearly €200 billion, commented on his daughter’s promotion.

She knows what’s trending

She has a feel for trends, encourages young designers and is considered a tough businesswoman. “Delphine understands her business,” says one who works with her. And he reveals: “In conferences, she is cool and controlled.” The mother of two worked at Dior for five years from 2008 before moving to Louis Vuitton. Now at Dior she follows power manager Pietro Beccari, who in turn becomes the top boss of Louis Vuitton.

Delphine certainly doesn’t have much private life. After divorcing Italian wine heir Alessandro Vallarino Gancia in 2010, she now lives with French internet billionaire Xavier Niel. A man who is busy with his job and understands her job. Delphine and her father can use the roof terrace of the “Cheval Blanc”, which also belongs to the family, for short business trips including family talks.
