The pedometer on Delphine Jubillar’s husband’s phone would not yet have delivered all these secrets. Recent revelations contradict the version of the Toulouse prosecutor’s office.
According to information from the Dispatch, the study of the pedometer reveals that Cédric Jubillar has taken much more than 40 steps to look for his missing spouse, version given in June by the former head of the Toulouse public prosecutor’s office to substantiate his accusations.
According to a final analysis, the pedometer recorded 46 steps in 7 minutes, between 3:53 (when he turns his phone back on) and 4am. Then 255 steps between 4 a.m. (time when he called the gendarmerie) and 5 a.m. (time of arrival of the gendarmes).
The defense of Cédric Jubillar seizes it
At the time when the chief prosecutor claims to count only 40 steps, he only had part of these analyzes. “The 40 steps to which he was referring only concerned the time slot between 3 am and 4 am”, specifies the Dispatch. But the pedometer was triggered from 3:53 am, when Cédric Jubillar turns on his phone again. The device therefore only took into account the remaining 7 minutes.
The defense of Cédric Jubillar seized on this new analysis to denounce “the fallaciously demonstrated elements, in this case, by the investigators and the prosecution”
According to the prosecution, it took Cédric Jubillar only 16 minutes (from 3:53 am to 4:09 am) to call the gendarmes and declare, without knowing what had happened, that his wife was missing. It is this extremely short period of time that allows investigators and the prosecution to doubt Cédric Jubillar’s version.
Locked up near Toulouse, he continues to proclaim his innocence.
