Delphine Jubillar case: mystery around the nurse’s phone activated the night of her disappearance

The phone of Delphine Jubillar, who disappeared in Cagnac-les-Mines (Tarn) in December 2020, was activated several times on the night of her disappearance. This would have been particularly the case when the main suspect, her husband Cédric, was with the gendarmes.

On six occasions, activity was detected on the 33-year-old nurse’s laptop – a Huawei P30 Pro – on the night of December 15 to 16 between 0:07 a.m. and 6:52 a.m., La Dépêche reported. However, at the time of the last use, Delphine’s husband (33 years old) was with soldiers at the family home.

The WhatsApp application and its camera were notably triggered with the phone interface. Actions that “necessarily” require “human intervention and unlocking of the device”, entrusted the Chinese firm to the gendarmes.

Expertise on an identical phone

According to the regional media, the investigating judges in charge of the case ordered expertise on an identical telephone in order to determine the possible origins of the activations.

On March 22, a new request for the release of Cédric Jubillar was rejected by the Toulouse Court of Appeal.

Delphine Jubillar, who worked as a night nurse in a clinic in Albi, disappeared in December 2020. Her husband, a 34-year-old plasterer painter with whom she was in the process of divorcing, is the main suspect. He was indicted for murder and imprisoned on June 18, 2021.
