Delphine Jubillar case: what does the reconstitution carried out in the family home say?

The reconstruction will have lasted a good part of the night. Investigating judges, lawyers and witnesses went to the family home of Delphine Jubillar on Tuesday evening to try to understand the sequence of events that led to the disappearance of the 33-year-old nurse almost two years ago. during confinement. After hours of reconstruction, the investigation is still at a standstill.

A dispute between the couple

For six hours, Cédric Jubillar remained silent, sticking to his version of the facts. For the lawyer of the relatives of Delphine Jubillar, Maître Mourad Battik, this reconstitution will at least have made it possible to confirm that a dispute has indeed broken out between the couple.

“This scenario does not add much, except that the cries heard by the neighbors are corroborated. We understand better, when we are in the situation, what was left of the pair of glasses in the apartment. We obviously understand that a violent argument broke out”, he explains at the microphone of Europe 1.

Snippets of a flawed scenario?

But for the defense, the reconstitution did not make it possible to demonstrate the guilt of Cédric Jubillar. For Maître Emmanuelle Franck, defense lawyer, the reconstitution only made it possible to assemble bits of a wobbly scenario.

“You have a witness who says ‘I heard a woman separating dogs’ and a woman is shouted and howls at death without there being any dogs… Today, we would still like to know what is the crime scene beyond the reasoning of saying ‘Oh yes, but it can only be him’.”

The re-enactment was one of the last investigative acts in this case. The investigating judges will then have to determine if there are enough elements to refer Cédric Jubillar to an assize court.
