The investigators mobilized in the Jubillar affair considered that Delphine’s son could have been drugged the evening of his mother’s disappearance.

Louis, the eldest son of Delphine and Cédric Jubillar is a key witness in this disappearance case. His mother disappeared the night of December 15 to 16, 2020 and has never been heard from since. That evening, Louis was present in the house with his brother Elyah.

Questioned as part of the investigation, 7-year-old Louis explained to investigators that on the evening of his mother’s disappearance, he heard Cédric and Delphine Jubillar arguing, shortly after 11 p.m., in the living room. Their altercation would have even been physical, since he saw his two parents pushing each other. He would have heard Cédric utter these words: “so, since it’s like that, we’re going to separate”, and her mother screaming “stop”.

His testimony caught the attention of investigators. However, his hearing, which took place on November 26, 2021, was not filmed, as required by the legislation protecting the testimony of minors. It could be invalidated and not taken into account in the investigation.

After the argument of the Jubillar couple, where was Louis?

Witness to this altercation, made by the eldest son of Cédric and Delphine Jubillar. Did the boy who hid to watch his parents follow the rest of the evening?

In the event of Delphine’s death, the gendarmes in charge of the investigation tried to imagine the scenario in which Cédric would have killed his wife and hidden the body. “The gendarmes wondered how Cédric could have gotten rid of the body without drawing the attention of his son”, can we read in a survey published in The New Detective Wednesday, January 19.

“Has the child been drugged, with sleeping pills for example?”, wonders The New Detective. This hypothesis was followed by the gendarmes who took a hair sample from Louis. The hair is the part of the body that retains the longest memory of the intake of particular substances. These tests are performed only “60 days after the fact”, regret The New Detective, who claims that the results ultimately come back negative.

Active excavations have been relaunched around the Jubillar home to find Delphine’s body. Gendarmes and soldiers have been focusing since January 17 on a farm located 2km from the Jubillar house which recently burned down. Around this building, the investigators widened their search perimeter, in a valley below the farm.
