Demi Lovato: She describes her "day of the miracle"

Demi Lovato recently got engaged to Max Ehrich. In an Instagram post, she now looks back on the hardest time in her life

Singer Demi Lovato (27, "Tell Me You Love Me") struggled with drug and alcohol addiction from an early age. At the age of 19, she overcame her addiction, but suffered a relapse in 2018 and was taken to the hospital with an overdose at the end of July 2018. Demi Lovato has been changing her life ever since. In an Instagram post, she now looks back on that day (July 24) two years ago. "Today is my day of miracles," writes the singer, who got engaged a few days ago.

"I am so happy to be able to see him. It shows how the doctors at Cedar's Sinai (Los Angeles Hospital, editor's note) saved my life. How I can live a life that I am not in painted my wildest dreams. " Only two years after this terrible day, she was engaged to the love of her life and she could finally say that she had "freed herself from her demons". "I never thought it would be possible." In the past two years she has worked more on herself than in her entire life before.

The moment before the application

God had given her the necessary security to go through difficult times and to love herself again. "You can't fully love someone else if you don't love yourself first." She would like to thank her family, friends and fans who always supported her and would have respected her privacy on this trip. Lovato posted a short clip on the statement. Her fiancé Max Ehrich (29) recorded the video shortly before his application – "when he asked me to close my eyes on the way there," explains Lovato.

The 27-year-old singer and the two-year-old actor announced their engagement on Thursday (July 23) on their respective Instagram accounts. Lovato wrote of several photos showing the couple kissing on the beach, among other things: "The moment we met for the first time, I knew that I loved you."
