Stars are usually not nutrition experts and are rarely good role models when it comes to healthy eating habits. Does this also apply to Demi Moore? Best see for yourself.

There are certainly a few dietary rules that apply to all people. For example, that we ideally cover our energy needs. And if possible, take enough vitamins and minerals. Those who have allergies or intolerances would certainly do well to avoid such foods.

But apart from such universals, healthy eating behavior is largely individual. Some people prefer to eat five times a day, others prefer one or two larger meals. Some get most of their energy from carbohydrates, while others feel better on a high-protein diet.

Once we find out what kind of diet we feel comfortable with, we can confidently stick with it without being unsettled by what other people think or what experts say. Nevertheless, even then it can sometimes be very interesting to see what others find suitable for themselves – especially celebrities.

Actress Demi Moore has followed an extreme, inappropriate and unhealthy diet for one role or another in the past, as she writes in her 2019 memoir Inside Out. In the meantime, however, she has given up extreme diets and established eating habits that make her feel healthy and comfortable – and young. According to media reports, the following aspects are the key points of their nutritional concept.

5 diet rules that work best for Demi Moore

1. Freshness instead of convenience

Eating out of a bag is generally not on Demi Moore’s menu. Instead of convenience and industrially processed foods, the actress relies on fresh goods such as nuts, vegetables, legumes and Co. The Hollywood star eats meat and fish in moderation, but never in the form of sausages, fish fingers or the like.

2. High-protein meals after exercise

Exercise and nutrition almost belong together – at least Demi Moore gives space and attention to both topics in her life. Her sports routine includes different workouts from swimming to yoga to weight training. When it comes to the meal after a session, she always pays attention to a high protein content. Lean meat, fish or legumes are usually not missing as the main components on your plate after exercise.

3. Healthy fats

Demi Moore largely avoids animal fats and the saturated fatty acids they usually contain. She stays away from products such as butter and cream, preferring instead to use vegetable fats such as linseed oil or the energy sources contained in nuts.

4. Don’t be afraid of carbohydrates

Unlike some other nutrition-conscious people, Demi Moore does not radically avoid carbohydrates. Especially foods with long-chain carbohydrates such as potatoes, brown rice, wholemeal bread or pasta regularly end up on her plate, as they are valuable makers of happiness, energy suppliers and satiating foods all in one.

5. Respond to your own intuition

Especially if you have been on a lot of diets and followed nutritional plans, it can be difficult for a while to listen to your gut feeling again and to properly perceive hunger and satiety. Demi Moore may have needed some time for this, but now she tries to eat intuitively: She doesn’t stick to specific meal times or quantity requirements, but eats as often, at the time and as much as her body tells her.
