Deprived of Canal+, Freebox subscribers express their dismay

It will soon be two days since some Free subscribers have been deprived of Canal+ on their Freebox. The encrypted channel is well aware and appears to be working on a fix. In the meantime, anger is brewing.

If this does not seem to concern everyone, according to the Canal+ support page linked to the problem, many Free subscribers have no longer had access to Canal+ and its channels for almost 48 hours via their Freebox. Some testimonies even suggest that the problems began on December 1. In any case, the messages have multiplied enough to force Canal+ to finally communicate and actively investigate this strange story of “ lack of rights “. An ignition delay which is difficult to pass.

The Freebox Revolution and the Freebox Delta in particular seem affected, while the manipulations recommended by Canal (restarting the Freebox and reactivating rights in your Canal+ user account) do not seem to resolve the problem.

Towards a return to normal and a commercial gesture?

Unsurprisingly, even before the problem is resolved, users are demanding a commercial gesture from Canal+. Conversely, at the time of writing, the latest message from a user (and a few others) indicates a return to normal.

If we had to choose just one to sum up this whole affair, it would certainly be this one: “ 5 days in the dark, a few calls at 35cts/min and…. nothing!!
No information, senseless manipulations that are useless, waste of time and money!
