“Der Bergdoktor”: The Gruber family is divided – who will still be in Ellmau in season 17?

“Der Bergdoktor” will end season 16 with a big bang on Thursday, February 23: Hans (Heiko Ruprecht, 50) cannot forgive his brother Martin (Hans Sigl, 53) for years ago with his deceased wife wanted to emigrate. The conflict escalates to such an extent that Martin even wants to leave the family home and emigrate to New York to be with his son. Then there is also an argument between Hans and his girlfriend Linn (Andrea Gerhard, 39), who is so angry about her partner’s stubborn behavior that she also packs her things without further ado. Daughter Lilli (Ronja Forcher, 26) cannot accept her father’s behavior either and leaves the Gruberhof. All of the quarrel affects mother Lisbeth (Monika Baumgartner, 71) to such an extent that she suffers a dizzy spell and even falls into a coma.

With these developments, what is probably the most dramatic “Der Bergdoktor” season comes to an end – but who will return to the Gruberhof with all the separations? In the season finale, Martin has to cancel the flight to New York to be there for his mother. Even if his practice is sublet for the time being, it can be assumed that he will be the focus of the story again from episode 1 of season 17. Lilli will probably only move in temporarily with Aunt Caro (Barbara Lanz, 39) and Grandpa Rolf (Wolfram Berger, 77) – quite a few fans suspect Rolf’s dark plan, which also seems to involve Lilli. It is also likely that Lisbeth will recover quite quickly. Only Linn’s whereabouts are unclear: Unless season 17 starts with a time jump, fans will probably have to be prepared for the character to stay away for a long time. More details will only become clear in the next few weeks when the first information about the new season is published.

“Storm of Love”: Fans can look forward to a new addition – but what does that mean for old roles?

“Storm of Love” gets a new face – and one that is familiar to many viewers: actress Laura Osswald, 40, will appear in her new role as Greta for the first time from episode 4.013, which is expected to be broadcast on Friday, April 14th miner to be seen. “Down-to-earth, warm-hearted, humorous” are some of the attributes with which the chef is described. The actress herself says about her character: “Greta is a funny, lovable and self-confident woman. The passion for cooking and the ability to go through life connects us.” However, the anticipation may be clouded for some fans – after all, the Fürstenhof already has chefs, but one of them seems to be leaving the series soon.

Because Greta is supposed to come into the kitchen as backup because Robert (Lorenzo Patanè, 46) needs support after André (Joachim Lätsch, 66) decided to open a restaurant in South Africa. However, this plan does not sound like he will return to Germany anytime soon. It is unclear what that means for the relationship between him and Helene (Sabine Werner, 63). The next few weeks will show whether André’s stay in South Africa is only temporary, or whether his permanent replacement, actress Osswald, has come to the Fürstenhof.

“Storm of Love”: Fewer and fewer young people are still watching the series on television

“Storm of Love” recently reached two milestones – only one of which is encouraging. From 2024, 330 new episodes of the popular telenovela are scheduled to run, the same applies to “Red Roses”. The only question is how long it will stay that way. Because the other milestone does not suggest that long-term linear television broadcast makes sense. Because both “Storm of Love” and “Red Roses” achieved shockingly low ratings. How “DWDL” reported, “Sturm der Liebe” reached fewer viewers than ever before on Tuesday, February 7: just 20,000 people tuned in for a new episode.

It was hardly less bad for the “Rote Rosen”, which has the slot before it: there were just 30,000 viewers: inside. That means a rate of 1.9 and 1.3 percent – well below the average for the station. The downward trend can be seen, as “DWDL” writes: In the current year, the 20 episodes of “Sturm der Liebe” that have been broadcast so far have reached 4.7 percent – in 2020 the rate was almost twice as high at eight percent. The telenovelas have been fighting with the ratings for a long time, which is why there are always fears that the series will be canceled – that seems to be off the table for the time being, but it is questionable whether ARD will continue to stand by and watch the negative development without doing anything.

“In all friendship – the young doctors”: Three fan favorites will celebrate their return in the next few weeks

“In all friendship – the young doctors” fans can look forward to very nice weeks, because in March there will be a reunion with three popular characters from the hospital series. The first of the trio: Dr. Franziska Ruhland (Gunda Ebert, 53). The neurosurgeon at the Johannes Thal Clinic appeared in a total of 129 episodes and left the clinic after an unsuccessful application to become the deputy chief physician. On Thursday, March 16, she will be back at her old place of work – it is currently unknown whether her appearance will last longer than one episode.

Also returning will be Dr. Annika Rösler (Paula Schramm, 33), although in this case it is already clear that she will appear in two episodes, which will be broadcast on Thursday, March 16th and 23rd. The return of Rebecca Krieger (Milena Straube, 31) makes the joy of reunion complete. She will also be back in her role as resident on Thursday, March 16th. She had left the Johannes Thal Clinic for a while to forget Florian (Lion Wasczyk, 28) and to concentrate fully on her work again. It remains to be seen whether she has managed to leave Florian behind.
