Derichebourg buys 14.7% of Elior’s capital, increasing its stake to 19.6%


PARIS (Agefi-Dow Jones)–The environmental services group specializing in metal recycling Derichebourg announced on Thursday that it had signed an agreement to purchase 14.7% of the capital of Elior, which will increase its stake in the collective catering group to 19.6%.

Derichebourg will acquire 14.7% of the capital from BIM, a company controlled by Sofibim – the holding company of the founder of Elior, Robert Zolade – and from the chairman of the board of directors of the collective catering group, Gilles Cojan, at a price of 5.65 euros per Elior share. This amount is “combined with a possible additional price of up to 1.35 euros per share based on the evolution of Elior’s share price between January 1, 2023 and December 31, 2024”, indicated Derichebourg. .

The final implementation of the agreement will take place “no later than June 30,” said Derichebourg.

“As part of this acquisition, Derichebourg will ask to benefit from two seats on the board of directors of Elior”, indicated the group, adding that it did not intend to file a public offer for the balance of the capital. of the collective catering specialist.

“Derichebourg is part of a logic of long-term shareholder involvement and support for the strategy put in place by Elior’s board of directors”, underlined the group.
