Design, XXL photo island … The Xiaomi 13 Ultra is revealed before its official presentation

The official presentation of the Xiaomi 13 Ultra will officially take place tomorrow, but we already know what Xiaomi’s ultimate photophone will look like. The Chinese manufacturer has indeed posted images of the device on the Weibo social network.

The latter corresponds well to the previous renderings shared on the Net. There is an impressive circular photo island surrounded by a gold-colored strapping, which is reminiscent of a real dome. It looks a little more rounded than the 12S Ultra and should add a thickness of 15.6 mm at this precise point. Suffice to say that it will not be easily forgotten in a pocket.

For the rest, we will be entitled to a hinge entirely in aluminum as well as a back coating in white faux leather of the most beautiful effect. The brand specified that it benefited from an antibacterial treatment, and that it was impervious to dust. It also ensures that the material will not yellow over time. A green version is also planned.

The photo promise is ambitious. The island should indeed have the Sony IMX989 main sensor of one inch (50 Mpx), already seen on the 13 Pro, coupled with three other IMX858 sensors of 50 Mpx for the ultra wide-angle and the telephoto lens (3x and 5x). The model will also benefit from the partnership with Leica, which should result in a choice of special lenses and a software part with small onions. An accessory allowing it to be used as a case in landscape mode should be unveiled for the occasion.

The brand has also shared some information on the screen (named C7), which it seems to have selected with care. Here we will be treated to a 120 Hz Oled panel displaying in 2K (1440 x 3200 px), compatible with LTPO technology. Developed jointly by Xiaomi and China Star, it could display a peak light of up to 2600 nits for HDR content. Enough to enjoy it even in full sun.

Under the latter, we should logically find the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 coupled with a lot of RAM (probably from 12 to 16 GB of RAM) and several storage options.

All you have to do is wait until tomorrow to unravel the last mysteries of the technical sheet, but also to discover the official launch date as well as the price in China of the Xiaomi 13 Ultra. This should give us a relative indication of its price in France, where its release is also planned.
