The dream "crime scene" repetition on Sunday comes from the far north. The audience chose "Borowski and the Sea" in the program.
This time the audience has "Borowski und das Meer" (2014) with the commissioners Borowski (Axel Milberg, 64) and Brandt (Sibel Kekilli, 40) for Sunday (16.8., 8:15 pm, the first one) as the desired "crime scene" ) chosen into the program.
The plot of the dream crime novel "Borowski and the Sea"
In the battle for deep-sea mining rights in search of rare earths, which are essential for cell phone production, there are victims. One in Australia and now also one in Germany's far north. The lawyer Sven Adam (Andreas Patton, 57) is spectacularly shot on a night boat trip by Marex, the world's leading company in the mining of raw materials in the deep sea. His body falls overboard and disappears into the sea. But the man seems to have foreseen his death. He could still prepare a lot.
In search of the corpse, the perpetrator and the truth, Commissioner Borowski meets many fascinating women such as Adam's wife Marte (Nicolette Krebitz, 47), company boss Sylvana Vegener (Karoline Eichhorn, 54) and Dr. Amali Saunders (Florence Kasumba, 43) from South Africa. Meanwhile, his assistant Sarah Brandt is more drawn to Down Under – at least in terms of Skype.
Is it worth switching on?
Yes and no. Frank Schätzing (63) is a gifted author and perhaps he should have worked through the script rather than making casual statements, because this crime thriller cannot show the ingenious and coherently connected plot from his works. For example, the integration of Brandner's chronic illness and the inspector's apparently overcome claustrophobia are too constructed – not to mention the resolution of the case.
Wish repetitions for the 50th anniversary
The crime episodes that are available for election – without the films already shown – will again be available for voting after the broadcast on Sunday. You can only vote online. The desired "crime scene" repetitions run on Sundays until August 30th as part of the summer break. The first new broadcast is due for September 6th. The Austrian thriller "Pumps" will then be shown.
